Goals for 2011

Wow!  How weird was that to write... 2011!!  LOL  Ok, so here's the goals I have written up, I know it is quite long and understand that not all I may be able to get to, some will take a lot of consistancy to complete- and may take years to complete- but at least they will be on my mind throughout the year.....


Health and Fitness Goals:

  1. I will focus on losing inches in 2011.  I will use baby steps, bands, cardio and pushing myself to get there.
  1. I will walk 5 days a week for at least 15-30 minutes
  1. I will eat 3 + Freggies a day and track them on the calendar
  1. Start each morning with stretches.
  1. I will work to banish the white and HFCS 80% of the time.
  1. I will be more strict about my allergens- including gluten
  1. I will take all meds daily and track it.
  1. I will drink adequate water daily, and encourage my family to do so as well.

Personal growth and peaceful living:

  1. I will listen to meditations every day before bed for peace of mind
  2. I will continue to connect with God by reading, retreat, or classes
  3. I will journal for general reasons daily
  4. I will do my dieters journal/devotion daily
  5. go to church consistently and raise tithe (still not where it needs to bed)
  6. I will have QTWG (Quiet Time With God) sometime during the day – preferable first thing in the am

Family and House Goals

  1. I will work on creating and sticking with routines for the girls to help out more around the house
  2. I will teach the girls the importance of goal setting
  3. I will create an oasis in our bedroom
  4. I will create 2 week menus and stick to them
  5. I will help facilitate at least weekly devotions for the family
  6. we will eat around the table 3x’s a week
  7. Finish the family room

Financial Goals:

  1. Do monthly/Bi-weekly budget plan per FPU (Financial Peace University)
  2. Stay in the envelopes
  3. Know our debt, and snowball it
  4. Start FPU at church to stay accountable
  5. Teach girls about financial responsibility by giving allowance and teaching FPU to them (get kids version)
  6. Have Scott and I make a Will.

Social, Fun and Recreational Goals:

  1. I will take time to have lunch/dinner/coffee with friends more often
  2. I will learn to Geo-cache and hike with the family or friends
  3. I will go to Sips n Strokes with friends 2 times
  4. Take more pictures of everyday life.  I will print and put in an album- scrapping not necessary
  5. I will read more books for ENJOYMENT, not self-help
  6. I will have a picnic lunch at the beach with the family
  7. I will make a list of 100 things that make me laugh
  8. As a family we will go to Gulf Shores for a week
  9. As a family we will take a day trip to Memphis
  10. 365 project- I will take a daily picture to document 2011- it will be of the kids, hubby, house, pets, outdoors, whatever is happening in our lives
  11. Decide on local sites to visit in town.
  12. Find more small community things to do (Watertown, etc)
  13. Go to the drive in 5x’s this summer
  14. Have a tea party 1 time a month
  15. Wear a formal 1 time
  16. Let the girls have more parties/hang outs with friends
  17. Write down the funny things the kids say more often
  18. Tape all movie tickets/any tickets to the calendar to keep track of all fun events we attend.

I would love to see your goal lists too!  They don't have to be so comprehensive, even just one or two goals for the year are a good thing.  I recognize I have OCD and am a Perfectionist, so I tend to put too much on my plate- I have the "reach for the stars and you will achieve great things" mentality.  I may not get it all, but at least I have a great base of ideas to do (that's my way of working on NOT being OCD and Perfectionistic!)
